Prezident republiky Václav Klaus vedl ve dnech 26.- 27. ledna 2013 českou delegaci na summitu EU-CELAC (EU - Community of Latin American and Caribbean States) v Santiagu de Chile, kde vystoupil s projevem na téma Economic Growth is the Best Promoter of the Social and Environmental Goals.
