Professional experience:

1966 - 1967 - PZO Centrotex (Company of International Business)

1967 - 1993 - Professional and later Research worker, Economic Institute of the Czechoslovak Academy of Science

1994 - 2000 - Executive Secretary of the Czech Economic Society

During her engagement at the Economic Institute of the Czechoslovak Academy of Science she dealt primarily with the issue of international finances and international monetary institutions. In addition to her publication activity, since 1990 she has participated in a number of international conferences devoted both to the transformation of the Czech economy and in conferences concentrating on finance and banking. After 1990 she worked as a member of Supervisory Boards in the companies Ceska sporitelna, a.s., CEZ a.s, and ZVVZ, a.s. Milevsko.

Interests:

As the wife of the Prime Minister she supported voluntary activities and encouraged others to help children, handicapped and elderly people. Since its foundation, she has been an honorary patron of the Register of Bone Marrow Donors. She has helped children in the Institute of Social Care in Bystrice nad Uhlavou and in the foundation "Zivot 90".

Hobbies:

Fine art, music, ballet, interior and garden design.
