President of the Republic Vaclav Klaus appointed new generals of the Czech Republic Army on the occasion of public holiday of the Czech Republic, at the Prague Castle. President of the Republic appointed Colonel doc. M. Sc. Frantisek Vojkovsky, app. PhD., Colonel of the General Staff M. Sc. Cestmir Tesarik, Col. M. Sc. Zdenek Plchota and Col. M. Sc. Petr Mlejnek to the rank of Brigadier Generals.

Jan Gurnik, Deputy Commander of the Czech Republic Army Joint Forces, to the rank of Brigadier General. President of the Republic appointed Colonel M. Sc. Jiri Baloun, PhD., Director of Communication and Information Systems Department of the Ministry of Defence - Chief Signal Officer of the Czech Republic Army and Colonel M. Sc. Michal Pazur, Deputy Director of the Joint Operations Centre of the Ministry of Defence, to the rank of Brigadier Generals.

Vladimir Lavicka, Ground Forces Deputy Commander, Czech Republic Army and Colonel of the General Staff M. Sc. Jiri Jancik, Air Force Chief of Staff, Czech Republic Army, to the rank of Brigadier Generals.
