Power of the President of the Republic to appoint Bank Board members of the Czech National Bank results from the Constitution of the Czech republic. The Governor and Vice-Governors of the Czech National Bank are simultaneously members of the Bank Board.

President of the Republic, Vaclav Klaus, has appointed new members of the Bank Board of the Czech National Bank, at the Prague Castle. Zdenek Tuma was appointed to a position of Governor, Miroslav Singer to a position of Vice-Governor and Robert Holman and Pavel Rezabek became members of the Bank Board.
