On Wednesday, 17 December 2025, President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel held a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. They discussed the continued support for Ukraine and progress in the ongoing peace talks. They agreed that it is in their mutual interest for any agreement to deliver Ukraine a dignified peace. President Zelenskyy thanked Czechia and its citizens for their long-standing support.
