On Thursday 25 June 2026, the Castle Guard will commemorate
Armed Forces Day at Prague Castle.
At 10 a.m., the programme of celebrations will begin in the 3rd Courtyard with the ceremonial entry of the Castle Guard on the occasion of this important day. Together with the unit of the Castle Guard, the unit of the Military History Club Hradní setnina will present itself.

The military ceremony will also be complemented by the arrival of a standard bearer with the historical standard of the President of the Czech Republic with guards on horseback from the National Stud in  Kladruby nad Labem. After the arrival of the soldiers, the programme will continue with a show performance by the motorcycle and parade unit of the Castle Guard. A new feature this year will be a performance by the Honor Guard of the President of the Slovak Republic. The program in the 3rd Courtyard will conclude with a concert by the Band of the Castle Guard.

Between 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., both historic and contemporary Castle Guard motorcycles will be on display in the western part of the 3rd Courtyard, the historic ones will be on loan from private collections.

The ceremonial changing of the guard at 12:00 p.m. will be performed by soldiers dressed in period-style World War I legionnaire uniforms.
