Children's Day at Prague Castle
This year, Prague Castle, together with Micka the cat, will once again welcome visitors of all ages into a world of fantasy, fairy tales, adventure, and joy. A day full of games, exploration, and magical stories awaits you in the Royal Garden and the Upper Deer Moat, where there’s fun for everyone – from roasting sausages to riding historic carousels.
Throughout the day, dozens of children’s and non-profit organizations will guide you through a varied programme full of contests, games, quizzes, and fun educational activities. In the picturesque Upper Deer Moat, you can meet members of the Castle Guard face-to-face, try your hand at authentic wilderness skills, and sharpen your camping skills. Children who visit the individual stations and collect stamps on their game plan can look forward to a small reward.
In the Ball Game Hall of Prague Castle, in cooperation with Barrandov Film Studios, we have prepared an exhibition titled From Fairy Tale to Fairy Tale, where your favourite Czech fairy tales will be literally at your fingertips.
To help you find your way around the grounds, maps will be available as usual, and helpful volunteers from the Czech Council of Children and Youth will be on hand at the information booths.
Admission to Children's Day – both the Royal Garden and the Upper Stag Moat – is free, with all access routes open to the public.
The exhibition is held under the auspices of Eva Pavlová, the wife of the President of the Republic.
