Christmas Stroll at Prague Castle
Join us on a winter stroll of Prague Castle. It will take you across the Castle grounds, which will be lit up with Christmas workshops, exhibitions, and concerts, running from the beginning of Advent until 5 January.
Discover the picturesque Bethlehem Yurt by the Forman Brothers’ Theatre, a forest of Christmas trees with magical, traditionally hand-blown Czech decorations, and concerts by choirs from Prague's elementary art schools, which will regularly light up every Advent Sunday. Come to create, enjoy, or just stop for a moment to breathe in the festive atmosphere.

The Bethlehem Yurt at the Castle by the Forman Brothers' Theatre
Throughout Advent, the terrace of the Riding School will host the Bethlehem Yurt of the Forman Brothers’ Theatre and their friends. In front of it, on the terrace, you will first be greeted by illuminated statues of pilgrims – both human and animal – and of course the Three Kings. After you've said hello to them, step inside the yurt, where a carved nativity scene awaits. Inside, you'll be able to spend time in the tea corner, play board games, or enjoy the experience with the so-called mechanical dioramas. Art workshops, which are part of the accompanying programme, will be held on weekends on the first floor of the Riding School.

The Delicate Beauty of Christmas: An Exhibition of Traditional Czech Decorations
The Rosenberg Palace is home to a forest of Christmas trees with artisanal decorations from Czech and Moravian companies that are masters of hand-blown and hand-decorated glass: Rautis, Koulier, Glassor Decorations, and HAN Design.
Each tree is inspired by a beloved Czech fairytale. Whether you're looking forward to The Three Peanuts for Cinderella or you love the film An Angel of the Lord, this exhibition offers you the chance to enrich your Christmas fairytale tradition with something truly unique, which is a cherished part of Czech intangible UNESCO heritage.

Advent Carolling Outside of St. Vitus Cathedral - Culture at the Castle
Every Advent Sunday, music will ring out in Golden Portal in the Third Courtyard of Prague Castle. In front of St. Vitus Cathedral, pupils of Prague's elementary art schools will sing Christmas carols, accompanied by members of the Band of the Castle Guard. If you are visiting Prague Castle on Advent Sunday, tune in with us for this magical moment of silence and listening.
