Early Spring: Temptation of the Senses

The beginning of spring, awakening of nature, the budding of flowers and human desires and passions. Blooming tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths in a symbolic embrace with paintings, sculptures, and objects – this is the exhibition EARLY SPRING: Temptation of the Senses.

It continues the several-year tradition of exhibitions that took place in the Empire-style Greenhouse in the Royal Garden of Prague Castle already in the past. Their basic idea was to connect two alluring worlds - art and flowers. This time, however, the selection of works of art will not turn to history as in previous years but will present alongside the spring flora the work of Czech visual artists of the young generation, for example Patrik Kriššák, Jakub Špaňhel, Ester Knapová, Josefína Jonášová and many others.

In addition to a joyful celebration of the awaited spring, the exhibition also reminds us that flowers are not only a symbol of purity, beauty, and love but also sensual temptation and transience.

The exhibition is held under the auspices of Eva Pavlová, the wife of the President of the Republic.

We would like to point out that the Empire Greenhouse is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.
