On Saturday, November 29, 2025, Prague Castle will be wrapped in a festive atmosphere and offer visitors a unique opportunity to walk through the normally inaccessible State Rooms free of charge, which will be decorated for Christmas by the castle decorators. You will be able to look into the halls and salons where the President of the Czech Republic receives important guests and conducts meetings.

The tour route will lead from the grand Matthias Gate through Plečnik's Column Hall, Rothmayer's Hall and the Spanish Hall, Rudolf's Gallery and the Throne Hall to the Habsburg and Mirror Salons.

Additionaly to the state rooms, you will also be able to visit Permanent exhibitions, free of charge, including St. Vitus Cathedral, the Old Royal Palace, St. George's Basilica, and Golden Lane.

The Open House will also kick off a packed Advent program, Christmas Journey through Prague Castle, which will last until the beginning of January.

Wheelchair access will be provided from the second courtyard through the west wing of the New Palace. A stair climber will be available in the Rothmayer Hall to assist visitors in negotiating the stairs.
