For 20 years now, there has been a place on the map where dialogue is conducted free of censorship or prejudice, where liberty shakes hands with independence, responsibility and respect for human rights, where learning about modern history is intertwined with an understanding of the principles of democracy and civil society – the Václav Havel Library is 20!

Friends and supporters, please come and celebrate this anniversary with us! To mark the occasion we have prepared a special and multifarious evening at Prague Castle’s Royal Garden, mixing up theatre performances, concerts, discussions, readings, photography displays, exhibitions, outdoor chess, theatrical fairground attractions and countless surprises. Don’t hesitate to come! All are welcome at the (Royal) Garden Party!
