President Petr Pavel attended the GLOBSEC Forum international security conference from 21 to 23 May 2026. On Thursday, the President delivered the opening address and discussed the security situation with General John Allen, who leads the GeoTech Summit. The President spoke, among other topics, about the European pillar of the North Atlantic Alliance.

The President subsequently held a series of bilateral meetings on the margins of the conference. He met, for example, with President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu, former NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission Henna Virkkunen, European Commissioner for Democracy, Justice, the Rule of Law and Consumer Protection Michael McGrath, and Lisa Monaco, President of Global Affairs at Microsoft.

On Friday, the President appeared as part of the Politico Speakeasy programme, and on Saturday he attended the GLOBSEC brunch together with Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski and Hungarian politician Anita Orbán.
