Open Day at Prague Castle

DF dokument  EN e-brochure   CZ e-brožura

Prague Castle will once again open to the public this spring, offering visitors a rare opportunity to explore the state rooms, which are normally closed to the public.

On Saturday, April 18, 2026, you’ll be able to tour the halls and salons where the President of the Czech Republic receives important guests and holds official meetings. The castle’s decorators will ensure the interiors are perfectly arranged and imbued with a springtime atmosphere.

The tour route will begin at the ceremonial Matthias Gate and continue through Plečnik’s Column Hall, the Rothmayer and Spanish Halls, and Rudolf’s Gallery, all the way to the Throne Hall, the Habsburg Salon, and the Mirror Salon.

In addition to the state rooms, Permanent exhibitions – including St. Vitus Cathedral, the Old Royal Palace, St. George’s Basilica, and Golden Lane – will also be open to the public free of charge.
As a special addition, visitors will also be able to visit the Royal Summer Palace in the Royal Garden, which, along with the other castle gardens, is already open to the public.
